Praying at Home for Blessings

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged Muslims to perform some of their Sunnah and Nawafil prayers at home, as Allah will bless the homes of those who do so.

Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him)reported: The Messenger of Allah said, "When you have finished your (Fard) Salat (prayer) in the mosque, you should observe some of your (Sunnah and Nawafil) Salat at home; Allah will bless your homes because of your Salat (in your homes)". Muslim

QUICK LESSONS:
Perform voluntary acts of worship such as sunnah & nawfil prayer in your own home with sincerity and devotion.

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari states that the Prophet Muhammad encouraged Muslims to perform some of their Sunnah and Nawafil prayers at home. This is because Allah will bless the homes of those who do so. Sunnah and Nawafil prayers are voluntary acts of worship that are not obligatory but can be done in addition to Fard prayer which is obligatory for all Muslims. These extra prayers can bring many blessings from Allah into one's life and home if done with sincerity and devotion. Therefore, it is important for Muslims to take advantage of this opportunity by performing these extra prayers in their own homes as much as possible.
