Riyad as-Salihin 1039 (Book 8, Hadith 49) #37528
Supplication for Intercession on the Day of Resurrection

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) promised that whoever says a certain supplication after hearing the call to prayer will be granted his intercession on the Day of Resurrection.

Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah said, "He who says upon hearing the Adhan: 'Allahumma Rabba hadhihid-da'wati-ttammati, was-salatil-qa'imati, ati Muhammadanil-wasilata wal-fadhilata, wab'athu maqaman mahmuda nilladhi wa 'adtahu O Allah, Rabb of this perfect call (Da'wah) and of the established prayer (As-Salat), grant Muhammad the Wasilah and superiority, and raise him up to a praiseworthy position which You have promised him', it becomes incumbent upon me to intercede for him on the Day of Resurrection". Al- Bukhari.

QUICK LESSONS:
Make du’as/supplications regularly; remember God; obey Him; recite special supplications after hearing adhan/call to prayer; strive for good deeds; stay away from sins.

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari states that if one recites a special supplication after hearing the call to prayer, then Allah will grant them intercession on the Day of Resurrection. This is an incredible promise from Allah and it shows how much He loves His servants and wants them to succeed in this life and in the hereafter. It also teaches us that we should always strive to make du'a, or supplications, as they are powerful tools for us to ask Allah for help and guidance. Furthermore, it reminds us that we should never forget about our ultimate goal which is Paradise in Jannah. We must always remember that our actions here on earth have consequences in the afterlife so we must strive to do good deeds and stay away from sins so that we can receive Allah's mercy and forgiveness when He calls us back home one day.
