EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of prayer in Islam. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah who was a companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The hadith explains that if people knew how great the reward for performing certain prayers were they would compete to do them even if it meant crawling to get there. Specifically mentioned are Adhan which is a call to prayer five times a day; standing in the first row during prayers; and praying at night ('Isha') and dawn ('Fajr'). These prayers are especially important as they have greater rewards than other prayers due to their timing or position within Islamic practice. Therefore Muslims should strive to perform these acts with enthusiasm as they will be rewarded greatly for doing so.
