The Blessings of Reciting the Quran Together

SUMMARY: When people come together to learn and teach the Quran, Allah will send down tranquility, mercy, angels and make mention of them to those in His proximity.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah said, "Any group of people that assemble in one of the Houses of Allah to recite the Book of Allah, learning and teaching it, tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will engulf them, angels will surround them and Allah will make mention of them to those (the angels) in His proximity". Muslim.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the blessings that come from reciting the Quran together. It is narrated by Abu Huraira may Allah be pleased with him that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that when a group of people gather in one of the houses of Allah to recite and learn from the Book of Allah, tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will engulf them, angels will surround them and Allah will make mention of them to those in His proximity. This hadith teaches us how important it is for us to come together as a community and recite from the Book of Allah. It also shows us how much reward we can get for doing so; not only do we receive peace and mercy but also have angels around us as well as being mentioned by God Himself! This hadith encourages us to take part in activities such as halaqas or study circles where we can read from Qur'an together with others so that we can reap these rewards.
