QUICK LESSONS:
It is permissible to dye one's hair for aesthetic purposes as long as it does not involve any prohibited substances such as alcohol or pork-based products.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about dyeing one's hair for appearance. It was narrated by Anas ibn Malik that when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ arrived in Medina, all of his companions were without grey or black hair except Abu Bakr who dyed his hair using plants called henna’ and katam. This hadith teaches us that it is permissible to dye one's hair for aesthetic purposes as long as it does not involve any prohibited substances such as alcohol or pork-based products. Furthermore, this hadith also shows us that even though we may be different from others in terms of physical appearance, we should still strive to maintain a good outward appearance so that we can be respected by others.
