The Power of La ilaha illallah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged people to recite the phrase "La ilaha illallah" (There is no true god except Allah) when they are close to death.

Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah said, "Exhort your dying men to recite: 'La ilaha illallah' (There is no true god except Allah)". Muslim.
وعن أبي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ “لقنوا موتاكم لا إله إلا الله‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
