Respect for the Prophet (ﷺ)

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was respected and honored by his companions, who kissed his hand as a sign of respect.

In a narration of Ibn Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) at the end of the narration of the Hadith ) he said: "We came near the Prophet and kissed his hand". Abu Dawud
وعن ابن عمر، رضي الله عنهما، قصة قال فيها‏:‏ فدنونا من النبي فقبلنا يده‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه أبو داود‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏

This hadith speaks to the importance of respecting and honoring the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. His companions showed their respect for him by kissing his hand. We should strive to show respect and honor to all people in our lives, just as the companions did with the Prophet ﷺ.
