The Practice of Handshaking Among Companions

SUMMARY: Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to shake hands.

Abu Khattab Qatadah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I asked Anas: "Did the Companions of the Messenger of Allah use to shake hands?'' He said: "Yes'.' Al-Bukhari.
عن أبي الخطاب قتادة قال‏:‏ قلت لأنس‏:‏ أكانت المصافحة في أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ نعم‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه البخاري‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
