QUICK LESSONS:
Show respect for our food by sitting down when we eat or drink

Avoid : Drinking or eating while standing

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us that it is forbidden to drink or eat while standing. This is because it is disrespectful to the food and drink we are consuming. It also shows a lack of appreciation for the blessings of Allah. We should always show respect for our food by sitting down when we eat or drink. Furthermore, another narration states that the Messenger of Allah reprimanded those who drank while standing as it was seen as a sign of disrespect towards the food and drink they were consuming.
