Cleaning Dishes for Blessings

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged people to lick their fingers and clean the dish after eating, as blessings may be found in any part of the meal.

Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah commanded the licking of fingers and the gleaning of the dish, saying, "You do not know in which portion the blessing lies". Muslim.
وعن جابر رضى الله عنه أن رسول الله أمر بلعق الأصابع والصحفة، وقال‏:‏ ‏ "‏إنكم لا تدرون في أي طعامكم البركة‏"‏.‏‏‏((رواه مسلم))‏

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us that we should always strive to get the most out of our meals. He encouraged us to lick our fingers and clean the dish after eating so that we can make sure that no blessing is left behind. This hadith teaches us to appreciate all of our blessings and not take them for granted. It also encourages us to practice good hygiene when it comes to food preparation and consumption. We should always strive to make sure that all dishes are properly cleaned before being served or consumed so as not to miss out on any potential blessings from Allah.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also taught us about gratitude and thankfulness towards Allah for His many blessings in life. We should never forget how much He has given us, even if it is something small like a meal or a snack. By cleaning up after ourselves and making sure no blessing is left behind, we can show our appreciation for what He has provided for us in this world. This hadith reminds us of how important it is to take care of ourselves by practicing good hygiene when handling food items as well as showing gratitude towards Allah by making sure no blessing goes unnoticed or unappreciated!
