This hadith is about the consequences of misusing knowledge. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said, “Whoever seeks knowledge in order to argue with the foolish, or to show off before scholars, or to attract people's attention, Allah will admit him to Hell.” This hadith warns us against using our knowledge for selfish and wrong reasons such as arguing with those who are not knowledgeable or showing off our intelligence in front of others. Instead, we should use our knowledge for good purposes such as helping others and spreading awareness about important topics. If we misuse our knowledge then we will be punished by Allah in the afterlife. Therefore it is important that we use our knowledge wisely and responsibly so that we can benefit from it both in this world and hereafter.
