Rewarding Knowledge Sharing

SUMMARY: Whoever teaches knowledge will be rewarded as if they acted upon it.

Sahl bin Mu'adh bin Anas narrated from his father that: The Prophet said: "Whoever teaches some knowledge will have the reward of the one who acts upon it, without that detracting from his reward in the slightest".

QUICK LESSONS:
Teach and share your knowledge with others
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of sharing knowledge and teaching others. It is a reminder that those who share their knowledge with others will be rewarded for it, even if the person they taught does not act upon what was taught. The reward for teaching is equal to the reward of acting upon what was taught, without diminishing either one's reward in any way. This hadith encourages us to share our knowledge with others and reminds us that we will be rewarded for doing so, regardless of whether or not those we teach act on what we have shared with them.
