Seek out Knowledge

This hadith emphasizes the importance of acquiring knowledge. It was narrated by Abu Umamah that Prophet Muhammad said, “You must acquire this knowledge before it is taken away, and its taking away means that it will be lifted up.” He then joined his middle finger and the one next to his thumb as a gesture to emphasize his point. He further added that “the scholar and the seeker of knowledge will share the reward, and there is no good in the rest of people." This hadith teaches us about how important it is for us to seek out knowledge while we still can because once it's gone, we won't have access to it anymore. It also tells us that those who are scholars or seekers of knowledge will be rewarded for their efforts in learning more about Allah's religion.
