Devotion to Allah and Truthfulness

SUMMARY: Ali was a devoted servant of Allah and the brother of His Messenger. He was known for his truthfulness and he prayed seven years before the people.

It was narrated that 'Abbad bin 'Abdullah said: "'Ali said: 'I am the slave of Allah and the brother of His Messenger. I am the greatest teller of the truth (Siddiq Akbar), and no one will say this after me except a liar. I prayed seven years before the people".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الرَّازِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَنْبَأَنَا الْعَلاَءُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ أَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، وَأَخُو، رَسُولِهِ ـ ـ وَأَنَا الصِّدِّيقُ الأَكْبَرُ، لاَ يَقُولُهَا بَعْدِي إِلاَّ كَذَّابٌ صَلَّيْتُ قَبْلَ النَّاسِ لِسَبْعِ سِنِينَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the devotion of Ali to Allah, as well as his truthfulness. He was known for being an honest person, so much so that no one would dare say they were more truthful than him after him. Additionally, it is mentioned that he prayed seven years before the people, showing his dedication to prayer and worshiping Allah. This hadith teaches us that we should strive to be devoted servants of Allah and always tell the truth in our words and actions. We should also make sure we are consistent in our prayers, even if no one else is doing them with us or around us.
