Representation of the Prophet by Ali

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) declared that Ali is part of him and he is part of Ali, and no one can represent the Prophet except Ali.

It was narrated that Hubshi bin Junadah said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: ''Ali is part of me and I am part of him, and no one will represent me except 'Ali'."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ حُبْشِيِّ بْنِ جُنَادَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ عَلِيٌّ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ وَلاَ يُؤَدِّي عَنِّي إِلاَّ عَلِيٌّ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of representation. It was narrated by Hubshi bin Junadah that he heard the Messenger of Allah say that “Ali is part of me and I am part of him”. This means that they are connected in a special way and no one else can represent the Prophet except for Ali. This hadith teaches us to be loyal to our leaders and to respect their decisions as they are representing us in a special way. It also teaches us to be humble when we are representing someone else or something bigger than ourselves as it requires responsibility and dedication.
