Sunan Ibn Majah 59 (Book) #36961
The Power of Faith and Arrogance

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that no one with even a small amount of arrogance in their heart will enter Paradise, and no one with even a small amount of faith in their heart will enter Hell.

It was narrated that Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'No one will enter Paradise who has even a mustard-seed's weight of arrogance in his heart, and no one will enter Hell who has even a mustard-seed's weight of faith in his heart'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Have strong faith & trust in Allah; Be humble towards Allah & His creations; Avoid pride & superiority over others

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us the power of both faith and arrogance. It is narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud that the Prophet Muhammad said that no one who has even a mustard-seed's weight of arrogance in their heart will enter Paradise. This means that having any amount of pride or superiority over others can prevent us from entering Heaven. On the other hand, he also said that no one who has even a mustard-seed's weight of faith in their heart will enter Hell. This means that having any amount of belief or trust in Allah can save us from going to Hell. Therefore this hadith emphasizes the importance for believers to have strong faith and humility towards Allah and His creations if they wish to attain eternal bliss in Heaven after death.
