Abide by Islamic principles and values

This hadith is about how following innovation or Bid’ah can lead to the invalidation of all religious obligations and actions. It was narrated by Hudhaifah that the Prophet Muhammad said that Allah will not accept any fasting, prayer, charity, Hajj or ‘Umrah from a person who follows innovation. He further explained that such a person comes out of Islam like a hair pulled out of dough. This means that their faith is completely removed from them as if it never existed in the first place. The lesson here is clear; one should stay away from any form of Bid’ah as it can have serious consequences on one's faith and relationship with Allah.
