Follow God's commandments , Stay focused on faith in God's teachings , Avoid temptations .

This hadith is about the importance of following the path of Allah and avoiding other paths that will lead one away from it. The Prophet Muhammad drew a line in the sand and then drew two lines to its right and two to its left. He then put his hand on the middle line and said, “This is the path of Allah”. He then recited a verse from Quran which states, “And verily, this is My straight path, so follow it and follow not other paths for they will separate you from His path”. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to stay on God's straight path by following His commandments instead of straying away into different directions which can lead us astray from His teachings. We should also be aware that there are many temptations in life which can take us off this straight path if we are not careful enough to stay focused on our faith in God's teachings.
