Seeking Refuge with Allah's Words for Protection

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that if one seeks refuge with the complete words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, it will protect them from harm.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih from his father from Abu Hurayra that a man of the Aslam tribe said, "I did not sleep last night". The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to him, "For what reason?" He said, "A scorpion bit me". The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Had you said in the evening, 'I seek refuge with the complete words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, 'it would not have happened". Audhu bi kalimati'llahi't-tammati min sharri ma khalaq .

QUICK LESSONS:
Seek refuge with the complete words of Allah from the evil of what He has created before going to bed

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that we should seek refuge in the complete words of Allah to protect ourselves from any harm or evil. The Prophet Muhammad was asked by a man why he did not sleep well and he replied that a scorpion had bitten him. The Prophet then advised him to recite “Audhu bi kalimati'llahi't-tammati min sharri ma khalaq” which translates to “I seek refuge with the complete words of Allah from the evil of what He has created” before going to bed. This is an important lesson for us all as it shows us how we can use our faith in God and His words as protection against any harm or danger. We should always remember this advice and recite this prayer whenever we feel threatened or scared so that we can be safe and secure in our lives.
