Take care of your appearance; Groom yourself properly before entering public places such as mosques; Show respect for yourself and others by taking care of your appearance.

In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad is teaching us about the importance of grooming ourselves and taking care of our appearance. He was in the mosque when he saw a man with dishevelled hair and beard. He motioned for him to go out and groom himself before returning. The Prophet then said “Isn’t this better than that one of you should come with his head dishevelled, as if he were a shaytan?” This teaches us that we should take care of our appearance in order to show respect for ourselves and others around us. It also shows us how important it is not only to look presentable but also how important it is not to resemble shaytan in any way or form.
