The Actions of the Ansar

SUMMARY: Anas bin Malik used to talk about the Ansar and their actions.

Narrated Ghailan bin Jarir: We used to visit Anas bin Malik and he used to talk to us about the Ansar, and used to say to me: "Your people did so-and-so on such-and-such a day, and your people did so-and-so on such-and-such a day".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be kind and generous towards others; Help those in need; Follow the example set by the Ansar .

EXPLANATIONS:
Anas bin Malik was a companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and he used to talk about the actions of the people known as 'Ansar'. The Ansar were a group of people who lived in Medina and helped Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when he migrated from Mecca. They provided him with shelter, food, protection, and support. Anas bin Malik would tell stories about what they did on certain days to help Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He wanted to remind us that we should always be kind and generous towards others like they were. We should also be willing to help those in need just like they did for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
