The Blessing of Madina

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prayed to Allah to bless the people of Madina in their measure and mudd.

Yahya ibn Yahya related to me from Ishaq ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Talha al-Ansari from Anas ibn Malik that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "O Allah! Bless them in their measure, and bless them in their sa and mudd". He meant the people of Madina.

This hadith teaches us that we should always pray for others and ask Allah for blessings on them as well as ourselves. It also shows us how much love and care the Prophet had for his companions and those around him - even though they were not Muslims yet! We can learn from this example that we should always be kind and generous towards others regardless of their faith or beliefs.
