Intoxicating Drinks Forbidden

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) declared that any drink which causes intoxication is forbidden.

Yahya related to me from Malik from ibn Shihab from Abu Salama ibn Abd ar-Rahman that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was asked about mead, and he replied, 'Every drink which intoxicates is haram'. "

QUICK LESSONS:
Abstain from consuming intoxicating drinks

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of intoxicating drinks. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was asked about mead and he replied that any drink which causes intoxication is forbidden or haram. This means that it is not permissible for Muslims to consume any type of alcoholic beverage as it will lead to intoxication and this goes against Islamic teachings. Alcohol consumption can lead to many negative consequences such as health problems and social issues so it should be avoided at all costs. Islam encourages its followers to stay away from anything which could potentially harm them or others around them in any way.
