Rewarding Sadaqa & Inheritance

SUMMARY: A man from the Ansar tribe gave sadaqa to his parents and then they passed away. He asked the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) about it and was told that he would be rewarded for his sadaqa and could take it as inheritance.

Malik related to me that he heard that a man of the Ansar from the tribe of Banu al-Harith ibn al-Khazraj, gave sadaqa to his parents and then they died. Their son inherited the property he had given them and it was palm-trees. He asked the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, about it and he said, "You are rewarded for your sadaqa, and take it as your inheritance".

QUICK LESSONS:
Give charity without expecting anything in return; Respect your elders; Be grateful towards Allah's blessings; Take care of your parents while they are alive; Follow Islamic laws regarding inheritance after death .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a man from the Ansar tribe who gave charity to his parents before they passed away. He asked the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) if he would still receive a reward for this act of charity even though his parents had died. The Prophet answered that he would indeed be rewarded for giving charity and that he could also take it as an inheritance. This hadith teaches us that we should always give charity even if we do not expect anything in return because Allah will reward us for our good deeds no matter what happens afterwards. It also shows us how important it is to respect our elders by taking care of them when they are alive, as well as after their death by giving them their due rights according to Islamic law.
