The hadith narrated by Yahya from Malik from Abu'r-Rijal Muhammad ibn Abd ar-Rahman ibn Haritha from his mother, Amra bint Abd ar-Rahman states that the Prophet Muhammad forbade selling fruit until it was clear of blight. This is because such a transaction would be considered an uncertain transaction or gharar which is forbidden in Islam. Gharar refers to any transaction where the buyer does not know what they are buying or when there is a lack of clarity regarding the details of the sale. In this case, if someone were to buy fruit before it has ripened then they would not know what quality of fruit they are getting and thus it would be considered an uncertain transaction. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive for clarity and transparency when engaging in any kind of business dealings so as to avoid any potential harm or loss for either party involved.
