EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the righteousness of returning a slave girl who was already married. It is narrated by Yahya from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abu Salama ibn Abd ar-Rahman ibn Awf that Abd ar-Rahman ibn Awf bought a slave girl and found out that she had a husband. Upon this discovery, he returned her to her husband instead of keeping her as his own property. This act of kindness and mercy towards the woman shows us the importance of respecting other people's rights even if they are not our own family or friends. It also teaches us to be mindful when buying slaves as it is important to make sure that they are not already married or have any other commitments before taking them in as our own property. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of being just and fair in all matters regardless if it involves someone close to us or not.
