Kinship by Suckling After Two Years

SUMMARY: There is no kinship by suckling after the age of two years.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar said, "There is no kinship by suckling except for a person who is nursed when he is small. There is no kinship by suckling over the age of two years".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect your elders and those around you , understand consequences of your actions .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that there is no relationship established through nursing after the age of two years. This means that if a person was nursed when they were younger than two years old, then they would be considered related to the one who nursed them. However, if a person was older than two when they were nursed then there would be no relationship established between them and the one who nursed them. This hadith teaches us that relationships are important and should not be taken lightly as it can have an effect on our lives even after we reach adulthood. It also teaches us to respect our elders and those around us as we never know how our actions may affect someone else's life in the future.
