Sahih al-Bukhari 3794 (Book 63, Hadith 19) #3622
Patience and Equality in Giving

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was encouraging the Ansar to be patient and not to be jealous of others who may receive more than them.

Narrated Yahya bin Sa'id: That he heard Anas bin Malik when he went with him to Al-Walid, saying, "Once the Prophet called the Ansar in order to give them the territory of Bahrain they said, 'No, unless you give to our emigrant brethren a similar share'. On that he said 'If you do not agree to it, then be patient till you meet me, for after me others will be given preference to you"'.

QUICK LESSONS:

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of patience and equality when it comes to giving. The Prophet (ﷺ) was encouraging the Ansar to be patient and not to be jealous of others who may receive more than them. He reminded them that after him, other people would have preference over them in terms of receiving gifts or rewards. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive for equality when it comes to giving, no matter how difficult it may seem at times. We should also practice patience even if we feel like we are being treated unfairly or left out from something that someone else has received. It is important for us to remember that Allah will reward us for our patience and good deeds in due time, so we should never give up hope or become discouraged by what others have been given instead of us.
