Mentioning the Name of Allah before consuming any kind of sustenance

This hadith teaches us about the importance of mentioning the name of Allah before consuming food. It was narrated by Yahya, who heard it from Malik, who heard it from Hisham ibn Urwa's father. In this hadith, a group of people asked Prophet Muhammad what to do when they were uncertain if the name of Allah had been mentioned over their food or not. The Prophet instructed them to mention His name and then eat.
