This hadith is about fulfilling the vows of a deceased loved one. It was narrated by Yahya from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utba ibn Masud from Abdullah Ibn Abbas that Sad Ibn Ubada asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ about his mother who had died while still having an unfulfilled vow. The Prophet ﷺ advised him to fulfill it for her.
