This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's appreciation for the people of Medina, known as the Ansar. When he migrated from Mecca to Medina, they welcomed him and provided support to him. He expressed his gratitude by saying that if he had not migrated, he would have been one of them. Abu Huraira was a companion of Muhammad and used to say that this statement was not unjust because it showed how much respect Muhammad had for them. This teaches us that we should always be grateful for those who help us in our time of need and show our appreciation in whatever way we can.
