Entering Makka Without Ihram

SUMMARY: Abdullah ibn Umar was returning from Makka and when he received news from Madina, he returned and entered Makka without ihram.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar was coming from Makka and when he was at Qudayd, news came to him from Madina and he returned and entered Makka without ihram. Yahya related the same as that to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be prepared for any unexpected situations and be ready to act accordingly in such cases .

EXPLANATIONS:
Abdullah ibn Umar was travelling to the holy city of Makkah when he received news from Madina. He then decided to return back to the city without wearing the garments of ihraam which is a requirement for Hajj or Umrah. This hadith shows us that if there is an urgent need or emergency situation then it is permissible for one to enter into the holy city of Makkah without wearing ihraam. It also teaches us that we should always be prepared for any unexpected situations and be ready to act accordingly in such cases.
