This hadith discusses the importance of allowing menstruating women to perform the rituals of Hajj. The Prophet Muhammad was asked about Safiyya bint Huyy who was menstruating at the time and he said that she would not delay them in performing their rituals. He then went on to explain why it is important for people not to make their women stay on if they are menstruating as it would be inconvenient for them. He also mentioned that if this were true, there would be more than six thousand women still in Mina in the morning after having done tawaf al-ifada.
