Staying in Mina During Hajj

SUMMARY: It is not permissible to stay in Mina for more than one night during Hajj.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that Umar ibn al-Khattab said, "No-one doing hajj should spend the nights of Mina beyond al-Aqaba".
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ لاَ يَبِيتَنَّ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْحَاجِّ لَيَالِيَ مِنًى مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْعَقَبَةِ
