Prohibiting Fasting on Eid Days

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) forbade fasting on two days - the day of the Id al-Fitr and the day of the Id al-Adha.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade fasting on two days - the day of the Id al-Fitr and the day of the Id al-Adha.

QUICK LESSONS:
Celebrate your faith with family & friends during special occasions like Eid Al Fitr & Adha instead of fasting .
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that it is forbidden to fast on two special days in Islam - Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha. These are days of celebration and joy for Muslims all over the world. On these days, Muslims gather together to celebrate their faith and thank Allah for His blessings. It is important to remember that fasting is a form of worship which should be done with sincerity and devotion; however, it should not be done on these special occasions as they are meant for rejoicing with family and friends instead. Furthermore, by abstaining from fasting during these times we can show our appreciation for Allah’s mercy towards us by celebrating His gifts in a joyful manner.
