Refraining from Talbiya During Tawaf

SUMMARY: Abdullah ibn Umar would not say the talbiya while performing tawaf of the House.

Yahya related to me from Malik that Ibn Shihab used to say, "Abdullah ibn Umar would never say the talbiya while he was doing tawaf of the House".
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ لاَ يُلَبِّي وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about Abdullah ibn Umar refraining from saying a supplication known as talbiya while performing circumambulation of the House. The hadith is narrated by Yahya who heard it from Malik who heard it from Ibn Shihab who said that Abdullah ibn Umar would never say this supplication during tawaf. This hadith teaches us to be mindful of our words and actions when we are in a sacred place like the House and to refrain from saying unnecessary words or doing unnecessary actions. We should also respect other people's beliefs and practices even if they differ from ours.
