Praying in the Mosque of Dhu'l-Hulayfa and Doing Talbiya

SUMMARY: Abdullah ibn Umar used to pray in the mosque of Dhu'l-Hulayfa and then go outside and do talbiya on his camel.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to pray in the mosque of Dhu'l-Hulayfa, and then go outside and get on his camel and when his camel had stood up he would begin to do talbiya.

QUICK LESSONS:
Praying in mosques, Doing talbiya while travelling .

EXPLANATIONS:
Abdullah ibn Umar was a companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who used to pray in the mosque of Dhu'l-Hulayfa. After completing his prayer, he would go outside and get on his camel. Once his camel had stood up, he would begin to do talbiya which is a form of supplication or praise that Muslims say during Hajj or Umrah. This hadith teaches us that we should always remember Allah even when we are travelling or doing other activities. We should also be mindful about our actions as they can be an act of worship if done with sincerity for Allah's sake.
