EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the permissibility of cupping while fasting. Cupping is a traditional medical practice in which a cup is placed on the skin to create suction and draw out blood from the body. It has been practiced for centuries as a form of alternative medicine to treat various ailments such as headaches, muscle pain and fatigue. The hadith states that Sad ibn Abi Waqqas and Abdullah ibn Umar used to be cupped while they were fasting, indicating that it was permissible for them to do so during Ramadan or any other time when they were observing fasts. This shows us that we can still benefit from traditional medical practices even when we are observing religious obligations such as fasting during Ramadan or any other time throughout the year.
