Praying After Asr is Prohibited

SUMMARY: Umar ibn al-Khattab punished al-Munkadir for praying after asr.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from as-Sa'ib ibn Yazid that he saw Umar ibn al-Khattab beating al-Munkadir for praying after asr.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَضْرِبُ الْمُنْكَدِرَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us that it is prohibited to pray after the time of Asr prayer. Umar ibn al-Khattab saw that someone was praying after the time of Asr and he punished him for it. This shows us that we should not pray after the time of Asr has passed because it is not allowed in Islam. We should also be careful to follow all Islamic rules and regulations so that we can stay on the right path and please Allah SWT.
