Firmness in Supplication

SUMMARY: We should be firm and confident in our supplications to Allah, as He is not compelled by anyone.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, ''When you are making dua do not say; 'O Allah, forgive me if You wish. O Allah, forgive me if you wish'. You should be firm in your asking, for there is no compelling Him".

QUICK LESSONS:
Make supplications regularly with firmness & confidence ; Ask only what's good ; Never give up hope .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that when we make supplications to Allah we should do so with firmness and confidence. We should not doubt or hesitate in our requests as He is not compelled by anyone. It is important to remember that even though we may feel like our prayers are going unheard or unanswered at times, it does not mean that they are being ignored; rather it could be a sign of His mercy for us. We must remain steadfast in our faith and trust that He will answer us when the time is right.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also taught us the importance of making dua regularly as it can help increase one’s faith and connection with God Almighty. Furthermore, he reminded us to always ask for what is good for ourselves and others; this includes asking for forgiveness from Him whenever necessary. Lastly, he encouraged us to never give up hope or become discouraged if our prayers seem unanswered; instead we must continue striving towards righteousness while trusting in His infinite wisdom and mercy at all times.
