Praying For Rain And Mercy

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asked Allah for rain, and in his prayer he asked for mercy, water for people and animals, and life to be brought back to the dead land.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from Amr ibn Shuayb that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, when he asked for rain, "O Allah, give water to Your slaves and Your animals, and spread Your mercy, and give life to Your dead land".

QUICK LESSONS:
Ask humbly & respectfully when needing something from God

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad is teaching us about the importance of praying to Allah. He is asking Allah for rain so that His slaves can have water and His animals can drink. He also asks for mercy so that everyone can benefit from it. Lastly, he asks Allah to bring life back into a dead land so that it can be used again. This hadith teaches us about the power of prayer and how we should always ask Allah with humility and respect when we need something from Him. It also shows us how important it is to think of others when making our requests as well as ourselves; by asking for mercy on all people, not just ourselves or those close to us.
