QUICK LESSONS:
Prioritize your prayers, Make sure you do not miss them no matter what else you are doing or where you are going

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of prayer in Islam. It is narrated that the father of Abd ar-Rahman ibn al-Qasim used to pray four rakahs before going to the place of prayer. A rakah is a unit of Islamic prayer and consists of standing, bowing, prostrating and sitting in between two prostrations. This hadith shows us how important it was for this man's father to make sure he prayed before going to the mosque or place of prayer. He made sure he did not miss out on his prayers even when he was on his way there. This teaches us that we should always prioritize our prayers and make sure we do not miss them no matter what else we are doing or where we are going.
