Untying the Knots of Sleep

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that Shaytan ties three knots at the back of your head when you sleep, and if you wake up and remember Allah, do wudu, and pray then the knots will be untied.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Shaytan ties three knots at the back of your head when you sleep, and he seals the place of each knot with 'You have a long night ahead, so sleep'. If you wake up and remember Allah, a knot is untied. If you do wudu, a knot is untied. If you pray, a knot is untied, and morning finds you lively and in good spirits, and if not, morning finds you in bad spirits and lazy".

QUICK LESSONS:
Wake up early in the morning , Remember Allah , Do wudu , Pray salah .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that when we go to sleep, Shaytan ties three knots at the back of our heads in order to distract us away from worshipping Allah. However, if we wake up and remember Allah by saying dhikr or doing wudu or praying salah then these knots will be untied. Doing this will make us feel lively and in good spirits in the morning while not doing it can make us feel lazy and bad tempered. Therefore, it is important for Muslims to remember Allah before going to bed so that they can start their day off right with a clear mind and heart full of faith.
