The Rewards of Attending Mosque

SUMMARY: Going to the mosque with the intention of learning or teaching good is like doing jihad in the way of Allah and returning with booty.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Sumayyah, the mawla of Abu Bakr, that Abu Bakr ibn Abd ar-Rahman used to say, "Someone who goes to the mosque in the morning or the afternoon with no intention of going anywhere else, either to learn good or teach it, is like someone who does jihad in the way of Allah and returns with booty".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the rewards that come from attending mosque. It states that if someone goes to a mosque in either morning or afternoon with an intention to learn something good or teach it, then they are like someone who does jihad in the way of Allah and returns with booty. This means that going to a mosque can be seen as an act of worship and devotion towards Allah which will be rewarded by Him. It also implies that one should not just go to a mosque for socializing but rather for learning and teaching something beneficial. The hadith encourages people to attend mosques regularly so they can benefit from its teachings and gain rewards from Allah for their efforts.
