The Comparison of 'Ali to Aaron

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) compared 'Ali to Aaron, who was a close companion of Moses.

And narrated Sad that the Prophet said to 'Ali, "Will you not be pleased from this that you are to me like Aaron was to Moses?"
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ لِعَلِيٍّ ‏ "‏ أَمَا تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the comparison between 'Ali and Aaron. It is narrated by Sad that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said to 'Ali, "Will you not be pleased from this that you are to me like Aaron was to Moses?" This hadith shows us how much respect and admiration the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ had for his companion, 'Ali.
