Combining Prayers for Travelling

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to combine the Maghrib and Isha prayers when travelling.

3 Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to join maghrib and isha together when it was urgent to travel".

QUICK LESSONS:
Combine two prayers while travelling if necessary .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of prayer in Islam and how it is permissible to combine two prayers when travelling. This is done out of convenience so that one can travel without having to worry about missing their prayer times. It also shows us that even though prayer is an important part of our faith, we should not be too strict with ourselves if we are unable to perform them due to certain circumstances such as travelling. Instead, we should use our best judgement and make sure that we still fulfill our religious obligations in a way that works best for us.
