Asking Blessings During Sermons

SUMMARY: It is not appropriate to ask Allah to bless someone who sneezes while the Imam is giving a sermon.

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that a man sneezed on the day of jumua while the imam was giving the khutba, and a man by his side asked Allah to bless him. Said ibn al Musayyab was asked about it and he forbade the man to do what he had done and said, "Don't do it again".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us that it is not appropriate to ask Allah to bless someone who sneezes while the Imam is giving a sermon. The hadith was narrated by Said ibn al Musayyab, who was asked about it and he forbade the man from doing what he had done and said, "Don't do it again". This shows us that we should be respectful of our religious leaders and pay attention when they are speaking. We should also be mindful of our actions in public places, especially during religious ceremonies or gatherings. We should always strive to show respect for those around us and maintain an atmosphere of peace and tranquility in all places of worship.
