This hadith speaks about reciting behind an imam during prayer. It is permissible to do so even if the imam does not recite aloud. This means that one can still follow along with their own recitation of verses from the Quran or other prayers even if they cannot hear what the imam is saying. The hadith also teaches us that it is important to pay attention and focus on our prayers in order to get maximum benefit from them. We should strive to make sure we are actively engaging with our worship and not just going through the motions without any real thought or intention behind it.
