Consistent religious practice such as reciting certain parts of Quran during prayers for spiritual benefit

This hadith is about how Abdullah ibn Umar used to recite certain parts of the Quran during his prayers. He would recite the first ten surahs of what is known as ‘mufassal’ during his morning prayer. On journeys, he would also recite what is known as ‘Umm al-Quran’ and one sura in each raka. This hadith teaches us that it is important to read certain parts of Quran during our prayers for spiritual benefit. It also shows us that we should be consistent with our religious practices even when we are travelling or away from home.
