Making Up Missed Prayers

SUMMARY: Abdullah ibn Umar would stand up after the imam said the taslim and recite what he missed out loud to himself.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that when Abdullah ibn Umar missed anything of the prayer in which the imam recited out loud, he would stand up when the imam had said the taslim and recite what he owed out loud to himself.

QUICK LESSONS:
Stand up when Imam says taslim, Recite what you owe out loud

EXPLANATIONS:
Abdullah ibn Umar was a companion of Prophet Muhammad and an example for Muslims. He taught us that if we miss any part of our prayer, we should stand up when the Imam says the taslim and recite what we have missed out loud to ourselves. This is so that we can make sure that our prayer is complete and accepted by Allah. We should also remember that it is important to be consistent in our prayers so that they are not forgotten or neglected. It is also important to be mindful of how much time has passed since we last prayed so that we can make sure our prayers are done on time.
